Materials

Cariloha’s eco-friendly bath towels feature a unique blend of bamboo fabric and Turkish cotton, known as “Bamboo Cotton.” All items are tested for toxic substances and bear OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and OEKO-TEX Made In Green certification.

Supply Chain & Labor Practices

As a Certified B Corp, Cariloha partners with Fair Trade organizations in the U.S., China, Turkey, Mexico, and India, ensuring living wages and ethical working conditions. The raw bamboo is grown in China’s Sichuan province by suppliers adhering to the SFI sustainable forestry certification standards and transformed into bamboo fiber in Hebei province before being woven and spun worldwide.

Carbon Commitments & Green Practices

The Cariloha Cares Initiative focuses on reducing the brand’s carbon footprint and supporting the environment. The ultimate goal is to eliminate all carbon emissions without offsetting, through reforestation, and solar and wind power projects, making some towels already carbon-neutral. Cariloha also aims to use recyclable, FSC-certified packaging across all product categories and eliminate single-use plastic bags. Additional efforts include switching to renewable materials and creating a program for renewing, upcycling, or recycling previously used products.

Community & Charitable Giving

Cariloha supports various organizations addressing issues like cancer and child trafficking. Their partners include the Mauli Ola Foundation, Operation Underground Railroad, and Make-A-Wish, among others.
